The M trim also gets sport brakes, an adaptive suspension system, Shadowline exterior trim, and a body kit. The xDrive30i is rated for 23 mpg city, 28 highway, and 25 combined, while the M40i gets 21/27/23.
The Comfort Access keyless entry feature is newly standard for 2020, joining 19-inch wheels, a panoramic moonroof, power-folding heated side mirrors, a power liftgate, 10-way power front seats, and leatherette upholstery. For a heated steering wheel and heated front seats, consider the Premium Package.
Infotainment features are similar between the two trims. A 10.25-inch touchscreen comes standard with a 12-speaker audio system, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, and real-time traffic information. Live Cockpit Professional is new for this year, and includes features like voice recognition, gesture control, and navigation. The optional Convenience Package adds wireless charging, WiFi capability, and satellite radio with a year’s subscription.
The BMW X4 has not been evaluated for crash-worthiness by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Safety tech for both trims includes a reversing camera and front and rear parking sensors. The Driving Assistance Package adds blind-spot monitoring and lane-departure warning. Such a beautifully designed vehicle! All the features I was looking for and more. The safety features blew me away. The vibrating steering wheel as a warning to indicate lane departure is a very intuitive and unobtrusive means of doing this (no beeping). Great acceleration and handling. I couldnt be happier with my decision!

The 2020 X4 M40i will put a big smile on your face. The 3.0 V6 Twinpower Turbo produces 382hp. Power is instant when needed. Adaptive modes adjust steering, suspension, etc. for a true enthusiast. The cabin is comfortable and feels upscale. The large displays and digital options are both informative, fun and easy to customize. Optional 21 wheels seal the deal. While this may not be everyones design aesthetic or a practical choice for a family (cargo space, rear headroom) everyone else should put it on their list to check out.

I upgraded to the X4 from a 320i and I love it! This package is missing some features that I had before like blind spot detection and other navigation features but overall a great car. Smooth ride and so fun to drive
