How much does the 2020 BMW 7 Series cost?

Is the 2020 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Generally — the 4.4/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, luxurious feel, smooth ride, and impressive features, while the 7 Series overview also highlights its strong engines, comfortable but sporty ride and handling, and excellent rear passenger room. For you, that makes it a compelling fit if you want a full-size luxury sedan that emphasizes comfort, technology, and driving polish. With 36.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable in daily use, with praise centered on the smooth driving experience and luxury feel. At the same time, some owners mention electronic components and interior-space concerns, so you should expect a used flagship sedan to reward careful maintenance history and thorough pre-purchase checks. For long-term ownership, your risk is less about basic appeal and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been well cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 BMW 7 Series?

At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on electronics, interior condition, and any signs of wear that could be expensive to address in a luxury sedan. Because the 7 Series is loaded with technology and comfort equipment, condition matters as much as mileage when you are comparing listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 499 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,700, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $30,700 sits slightly below last year's $34,440.

That decline tells you the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be good news if you are buying now and planning to hold the car for a while. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. Well-kept examples should stand out more clearly because the model’s price has already moved down from where it was a year ago.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of price, owner satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2020 is the primary year to target. If your priority is simply finding the lowest possible entry price, you can also compare nearby years, but the 2020 gives you a good mix of value and market support.
