Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Audi A3?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.24% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,136, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $18,467 sits slightly below last year's $20,574.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make future resale a bit more sensitive to mileage, condition, and service history. If you buy well and keep the car in strong shape, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell. A lower entry price can also help offset some depreciation pressure over your ownership period.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2020 is the better choice if you want a model year with softer pricing and solid owner satisfaction, especially if you can verify a clean history and find one near the lower end of the market. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price.
