Used 2020 Acura TLX for Sale near Missouri

How much does the 2020 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 2.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 790 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.

Is the 2020 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Acura TLX earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners commonly praise the smooth ride, handling, and overall features, and many also like the exterior design. The TLX’s driving character and value proposition come through clearly in the overview, especially if you want a luxury sedan that still feels engaging from behind the wheel.

The trade-offs are just as clear: poor ergonomic design and outdated technology. Even so, the TLX’s appeal is strongest if you care more about driving feel and value than the latest cabin interface.

Only 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful comparison shopping.

Is the 2020 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that many owners feel good about living with over time, especially when it comes to the ride, handling, and overall ownership experience. The expert review also describes the TLX as a cost-effective way to own a luxury sedan, and notes that Acura regularly offers discounted lease deals on the model.

That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance records and how the car has been treated, since long-term satisfaction does not replace a thorough pre-purchase check.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Acura TLX?

At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you get too far into the process, then prioritize a hands-on inspection of body panels, alignment, and interior wear. Because the TLX’s technology and ergonomics are recurring weak points, it also makes sense to test every control and infotainment function carefully during your drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The A-Spec option package adds 19-inch wheels, revised bumper designs, side sill skirts, and oversize round exhaust outlets, while the Technology Package is recommended for its comfort, convenience, safety, and infotainment enhancements. The PMC Edition sits at the top of the lineup with unique body-color and gloss black exterior accents.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 206-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic driving the front wheels. The PMC Edition uses a 290-hp, 3.5-liter V6 with a 9-speed automatic and torque-vectoring SH-AWD.
• Safety package: Every TLX has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and road-departure mitigation. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is included on all but the base TLX with no option packages.
• Infotainment: The TLX uses dual screens, with a non-touch top display and a touchscreen below it. It has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but the layout is dated and frustrating to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The TLX returned 23 mpg in testing, matching the EPA’s combined figure.

Which 2020 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Acura TLX is offered in 3 trim levels: base TLX, A-Spec, and PMC Edition.

Here's the short version:

• base TLX: This is the entry point, but it misses the blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert unless you add option packages. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point and plan to keep the car simple.
• A-Spec: This is the best-value trim because it adds the styling upgrades that make the TLX look more distinctive, and the review specifically recommends pairing it with the Technology Package for the best mix of comfort, convenience, safety, and infotainment.
• PMC Edition: This is the top-spec version with the 290-hp V6, SH-AWD, and exclusive appearance details. It suits you if you want the most powerful and most special-feeling TLX.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is not included on the base TLX without option packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Acura TLX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 790 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,137, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $21,691 sits slightly below last year's $22,317.

That decline suggests the TLX has softened a bit in the used market, which can be good news if you are buying now but less ideal if you are planning to sell soon. A lower current average can also mean future resale gains may be more gradual unless demand strengthens.

The model’s strong value reputation and solid owner satisfaction should help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Acura TLX safe?

The 2020 Acura TLX does not qualify for a Top Safety Pick due to an Acceptable rather than Good result in the small overlap frontal-impact test on the driver’s side. It earns five-star ratings in every test conducted by NHTSA, including the rollover test.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every TLX includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and road-departure mitigation. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all but the base TLX with no option packages.

The main caveat is that the driver-assistance systems can feel abrupt and less refined than newer rivals, so you should test them carefully on a drive.

Should I buy a 2020 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 TLX pairs strong value with engaging SH-AWD driving dynamics.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,921, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $21,691 average.
• It brings a new platform and a redesigned exterior and interior.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its older tech and ergonomics. If you want a newer-generation TLX and can spend more, the 2021 is the cleaner upgrade path.
