Used 2020 Acura RDX for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2020 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 4.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,713 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Acura RDX earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its smooth drive, strong performance, and broad feature set, and they also highlight its comfortable handling and strong value compared with other SUVs in its class. The expert review reinforces that appeal by noting that it offers more content at a lower price than some rivals and can even bring better safety technology in some cases.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive infotainment system and some missing convenience features that owners wanted, including a spare tire and adjustable back seats. For you, that means the RDX makes the most sense if you want a well-equipped compact luxury crossover with strong everyday usability and can live with a less intuitive tech interface.

Only 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than flooded with bargains.

Is the 2020 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the RDX as dependable in the sense that it delivers a smooth, trouble-free-feeling ownership experience with strong value, comfort, and features. The expert review also emphasizes that it is spacious, comfortable, and safe, which supports the case for long-term confidence.

The powertrain is built around a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with a 10-speed automatic, and the review says it provides solid acceleration with almost no lag. The cost-effectiveness commentary also notes that the RDX is worth serious consideration if the infotainment system does not get in your way.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is less about the core mechanical package and more about whether the technology and missing convenience items will bother you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Acura RDX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, because accident-free listings are not the same thing as guaranteed clean ownership history. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the infotainment system, driver-assistance features, and overall cabin condition, since the RDX’s value depends heavily on how well its equipment works day to day. It also makes sense to compare trims carefully, because some desirable features are reserved for higher packages.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base RDX comes well equipped with synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats with 12-way power adjustability, a power moonroof, a 10.2-inch infotainment screen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a host of driver-assistance features. The Technology Package adds upgraded Milano leather seating, 19-inch wheels, additional driver-assistance features, rear-door keyless entry, and a GPS-linked climate control system. The A-Spec adds ventilated front seats, a panoramic moonroof, Acura’s UltraSuede upholstery, sport pedals, unique 20-inch wheels, and distinctive exterior styling. The Advance Package adds rain-sensing wipers, acoustic front glass, 16-way power front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient cabin lighting, and natural Olive Ash wood trim.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and either front-wheel drive or available Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, road-departure mitigation, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow. The Technology Package adds front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic monitoring, and those features also come on the A-Spec. The Advance Package adds a 10.5-inch head-up display, a 360-degree surround-view camera, and a washer nozzle for the rear-view camera.
• Infotainment: The RDX uses a 10.2-inch infotainment screen with Acura’s True Touchpad Interface. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with Bluetooth, two USB ports, a WiFi hot spot, a 9-speaker audio system, and satellite radio. The Technology Package adds two rear USB ports, navigation with real-time traffic updates, and an ELS premium audio system, while the A-Spec gets ELS Studio 3D with 16 speakers.
• Fuel efficiency: The SH-AWD A-Spec test model returned 22 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined. The review also notes that the RDX takes premium fuel.

Which 2020 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Acura RDX is offered in 4 trim levels: base RDX, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, and Advance Package.

Here's the short version:

• base RDX: This is the best-value choice because it already includes a strong equipment list: synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power moonroof, a 10.2-inch infotainment screen, and a full set of driver-assistance features. If you want the most content for the money, this is the trim to start with.
• Technology Package: This is the smart upgrade if you want a more premium cabin and more convenience tech. It adds Milano leather, 19-inch wheels, rear-door keyless entry, GPS-linked climate control, and extra driver-assistance features, making it the most balanced step up.
• A-Spec Package: Choose this if you care most about style and a sportier presentation. It adds unique wheels and bumpers, LED fog lights, a diamond-pattern grille, ventilated front seats, a panoramic moonroof, UltraSuede upholstery, sport pedals, and the upgraded ELS Studio 3D audio system.
• Advance Package: This is the comfort-focused top trim, with rain-sensing wipers, acoustic front glass, 16-way power front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient cabin lighting, and a surround-view camera.

The Technology Package is the trim where you get the most meaningful feature gains without jumping all the way to the top.

• Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,713 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.9% of listings are accident-free.

What is the 2020 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $24,529 sits slightly below last year's $25,756.

That softer pricing trend suggests the RDX has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can help you if you plan to own it for a while before selling. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less depreciation pressure than you would have when prices were higher. The model’s broad appeal, strong feature content, and solid reputation for value should help support demand when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over the third-generation RDX formula with strong value, space, and safety tech.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $22,697, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $24,529 average.
• It was completely redesigned and brought the model upmarket.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,368, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $24,529 average.
• It adds newer styling and a rethought infotainment system.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, equipment, and safety, the 2020 is the sweet spot to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2019 can save you money, while the 2021 makes sense if you want the newer design direction and are willing to pay more.
