Should I buy a 2019 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 41.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,672, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $19,483 average.
• The 2018 brings an all-new platform and a more modern feel.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger current-market mix of pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the better value play, especially if you want a lower entry price and can accept an older model year.
