Yes — 4.67/5 is a strong user rating, and it lines up with the car’s appeal as a spacious, fast, software-driven luxury EV. The user feedback points to a car that many owners find dependable in daily use, with strong praise for performance, efficiency, and the overall ownership experience. The recurring complaints are more about charging time and value than about the car feeling trouble-free or long-term durable. For used buyers, that suggests the biggest ownership risk is less about the driving experience and more about making sure the specific car has been cared for well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Tesla Model S?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report so you can confirm the car’s background and spot any prior damage or title issues. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery, charging behavior, and overall condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect your ownership experience. It also helps to focus on fit, finish, and software operation, because those details can separate a clean example from one that feels worn.

What is the 2019 Tesla Model S's resale value?

The current average of $28,641 sits slightly below last year's $28,707.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to sell later because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp swings. For you, that means a well-kept example should remain relatively easy to position in the used market as long as it stays clean and desirable. Strong demand for the Model S’s performance and technology story should continue to support buyer interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the right path if you want a mature Model S with strong owner satisfaction, stable pricing, and a good mix of available listings to compare. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2019 stands out as a balanced choice when you want the core Model S experience without chasing the newest or most expensive option.
