Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2019 Subaru Impreza is described as a practical all-weather compact car with standard all-wheel drive, everyday usability, and a balance of serious performance and day-to-day practicality. Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 Subaru Impreza is presented as a straightforward ownership choice with a practical focus, but the overview also notes that many examples have been heavily used, abused, or modified. That means reliability for a used buyer depends heavily on how well a specific car was maintained and whether it has been driven hard.

For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying a neglected example rather than a fundamentally unsuitable model.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch signs of prior damage, poor repairs, or heavy use. Focus on overall condition, maintenance evidence, and whether the car shows signs of modification or abuse, since those are especially relevant for this model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $13,895, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $14,267 sits slightly below last year's $14,859.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can limit upside if you plan to sell soon. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help you preserve value better if you buy well and keep the car in strong condition. Because this model appeals to shoppers who want practicality and all-weather confidence, clean examples should continue to attract interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want the Impreza’s practical all-weather formula and you can verify that a specific car has been well cared for. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
