Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Yes — 4.67/5 is a strong user rating, and the 2019 Subaru Impreza’s appeal is easy to understand if you want a practical all-weather compact. Its standard all-wheel drive gives you broad confidence in poor weather, and its straightforward usefulness makes it a sensible commuter rather than a flashy or performance-focused choice.

The tradeoff is that it leans more toward function than refinement, with a rough ride in daily driving and cheap interior materials. If you value traction, low-key versatility, and everyday practicality over luxury touches, it fits that use case well.

32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 Subaru Impreza’s reliability case is tied to its simple, practical character and its focus on everyday usefulness rather than complexity. Its standard all-wheel drive and no-nonsense design make it appealing to buyers who want a dependable commuter with broad-weather capability.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about flashier features and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

At 65.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s condition beyond the listing photos. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven wear, and any issues that could affect how the car drives day to day.

Because this model’s appeal is rooted in practical use, you’ll want to pay close attention to overall condition rather than just mileage or trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 923 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,899, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $14,536 sits slightly below last year's $14,994.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more efficiently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition so you preserve as much value as possible.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?
