Is the 2019 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Nissan Sentra earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its value, comfort, smooth driving experience, technology features, and fuel economy. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical compact sedan for commuting and routine errands rather than a performance-focused car. Is the 2019 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes value, comfort, smooth driving, and fuel economy, which are the kinds of traits shoppers often associate with dependable everyday use. Mentions of trouble-free ownership are not explicit, but the overall satisfaction level suggests the car has met expectations for many drivers. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright appeal and more about finding a well-kept example that avoids wear-related issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Nissan Sentra?

At 57.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if a listing looks unusually cheap. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for bodywork quality, suspension issues, and signs of uneven wear. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a clean-looking car can still hide past damage or deferred upkeep.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Sentra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on standout listings.

• Deal availability: 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,572 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.33% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,037, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $10,069 sits slightly below last year's $10,865.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. Because the current market is below last year’s level, your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and mileage. A clean history and strong maintenance records should matter more when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.33% compared with last year.
