How much does the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class cost?

Prices have softened 10.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 624 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class a good car?

Yes — the 4.78/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the luxurious feel, advanced technology, strong performance, craftsmanship, spacious interior, and safety features. That lines up well if you want a flagship sedan that emphasizes quiet comfort, high-end features, and a polished driving experience. With 33.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise centered on the car’s craftsmanship, technology, and overall quality. The same feedback suggests you can count on the S-Class to deliver a refined long-term experience, even if its complexity means upkeep matters. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that expensive repairs can outweigh the car’s strengths if maintenance history is weak.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class?

At 67.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a shop that knows luxury sedans. Focus on condition details that matter most on a complex flagship: signs of prior bodywork, uneven wear, electrical quirks, and evidence of deferred maintenance. If a car looks especially well kept, verify that its service records match its appearance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 624 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,524, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class's resale value?

The current average of $40,524 sits slightly below last year's $45,071.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in excellent condition so you preserve as much value as possible. Strong equipment, clean history, and documented maintenance should help support a better resale outcome.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz S-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2019 is the primary year to target. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep shopping nearby years and compare condition, history, and equipment closely, since the best deal may come down to the individual listing rather than the model year alone.
