How much does the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class cost?

Prices have softened 4.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,229 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its luxurious feel, performance, handling, and smooth ride, and many owners also highlight the powerful engine options. For you, that means this model year fits especially well if you want a comfortable, prestige-focused luxury sedan with a high-end driving experience. With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers describe it as reliable, dependable, and trouble-free in the sense that it delivers the kind of ownership experience people can count on. The feedback also points to strong long-term appeal, especially for buyers who value comfort and refinement as much as performance. For used-car shoppers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a luxury sedan like this can become more expensive to keep in top shape as it ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

At 61.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury sedan where repair costs can add up quickly. Focus your attention on overall condition, maintenance records, and any signs that the car has been used hard or repaired poorly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,229 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,040, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class's resale value?

The current average of $27,320 sits slightly below last year's $28,673.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because buyers in this segment tend to compare heavily on presentation and history. A well-kept example should still hold attention better than a rough one, especially in a luxury market where shoppers expect a premium experience.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $22,794, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $27,320 average.
• It emphasizes refinement and a premium driving experience.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,821, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,320 average.
• It adds more body-style variety.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the best all-around choice if you want a strong mix of satisfaction, pricing, and inventory. If your priority is spending less, the 2018 is the better value path; if you want to pay more for a newer option, the 2020 is the alternative to compare.
