Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $81,692, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $69,264 average.
• It adds a sharper, more extreme track-focused character with multiple powertrain options.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2019 if your priority is value and a lower entry price, especially since the market has softened and there are still plenty of listings to compare. If you want the newer year’s more intense performance character and are willing to pay more, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
