Is the 2019 MINI Countryman a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the 2019 MINI Countryman’s appeal comes from blending MINI’s retro personality with the practicality of a small SUV. It offers more rear passenger space and cargo capacity than MINI’s smaller vehicles, while still giving you the brand’s familiar charm and wide-ranging personalization options. That makes it a good fit if you want something more distinctive than a conventional crossover without giving up everyday usefulness. 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 MINI Countryman reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 MINI Countryman’s overview points to a vehicle that balances style, customization, and practicality, but it also notes trade-offs such as a stiff ride, weak base engines, and cargo space that trails some rivals. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about the concept and more about finding one that has been maintained well and still feels tight on the road.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 MINI Countryman?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first so you can confirm accident status and spot any major red flags before you get too far into the process. After that, focus your inspection on ride quality, interior condition, and how the car feels in everyday use, since the model is described as having a stiff ride and a characterful cabin that should still present well. It also makes sense to pay close attention to cargo-area condition and signs of heavy wear, because practicality is part of the appeal here.

If you find a listing below $14,896, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 MINI Countryman's resale value?

The current average of $15,414 sits slightly below last year's $17,153.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later, especially if you choose a clean, well-kept example. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 MINI Countryman or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want the Countryman’s distinctive style, practical small-SUV packaging, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years as well, but the 2019 stands out as a balanced pick when you want personality and everyday usefulness in the same package.
