At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition inside and out, since comfort and interior quality are major reasons shoppers choose this model.

What is the 2019 Lincoln MKZ's resale value?

The current average of $17,975 sits slightly below last year's $18,704.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition so you have less depreciation left to absorb. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a comfortable luxury sedan at a lower entry price.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.17/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Lincoln MKZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.17/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a comfortable luxury sedan with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price than a year ago, the 2019 is the primary year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may want to compare nearby years and target the best-priced clean example rather than locking onto this one year alone.
