Is the 2019 Lincoln MKZ a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Lincoln MKZ earns a 4.17/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Is the 2019 Lincoln MKZ reliable?

Owners rate it 4.17/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable and comfortable over time, especially when it comes to everyday use and cabin quality. That said, used-car reliability still depends heavily on maintenance history and how the car was treated before you buy it. For a used buyer, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a neglected example rather than a well-kept one.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lincoln MKZ?

At 69% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the interior and electronics match the seller’s description. If a car looks especially clean, make sure the paperwork and inspection results support that impression.

What is the 2019 Lincoln MKZ's resale value?

The current average of $18,086 sits slightly below last year's $18,726.

That softer pricing suggests the model has lost some market value recently, which can be a headwind if you plan to sell in the near term. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you improve your odds of holding value better than the average example.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.17/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Lincoln MKZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.17/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, availability, and owner satisfaction, the 2019 is a reasonable year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep comparing individual listings closely and focus on the cleanest, best-documented cars rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
