How much does the 2019 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 7.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,226 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spacious interior, great handling, and good value for money, and many also like the updated features and available luxury amenities. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a compact SUV that emphasizes practicality and everyday comfort over excitement. With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Tucson’s good value and the kind of everyday usability that tends to matter over the long haul. The strongest reliability takeaway for you is that this model year appears to deliver a trouble-free, confidence-inspiring experience for many owners, even if some wish for more power and better fuel economy. For used buyers, that usually means lower long-term ownership risk if the specific vehicle has been well maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

At 64.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually strong compared with the market. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could affect long-term value more than cosmetic issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,226 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,188, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $14,191 sits slightly below last year's $15,281.

That softer pricing can work in your favor if you buy now and plan to hold the vehicle for a while, because you may be entering at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, the current market suggests resale value may remain steady rather than strong, especially if the Tucson continues to be priced as a practical value choice. Well-kept examples should still appeal to shoppers who want a roomy compact SUV with a good reputation for everyday usefulness.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and everyday practicality, the 2019 is a strong year to target. It makes the most sense if you value a roomy, well-equipped compact SUV and are willing to shop carefully for a clean example. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth comparing, but the 2019 remains the better all-around choice for many used buyers.
