Used 2019 Honda Odyssey for Sale near Oklahoma

The fifth generation Honda Odyssey enjoyed a solid launch for the 2018 model year, so for 2019, Honda isn’t messing with success and will bring the perennial favorite in the minivan segment into 2019 with minimal changes. Prices will rise slightly as Honda makes a few changes to convenience equipment, but otherwise, things pretty much stay the same. As a minivan, the Odyssey is centered on the family, so in addition to the cavernous space inside, the fifth generation Odyssey brings an almost dizzying array of available convenience technology to make family motoring both easier and more enjoyable for those inside. Available trims include LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite, and prices range from around $30,000 to $47,000. Under the short hood of the Odyssey is a conventional 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque - both more than enough, even for a vehicle that weighs over two tons. The engine is coupled to a 9-speed automatic transmission, but Touring and Elite models get an extra gear to make it an even 10. Fuel economy is an unremarkable but decent 19 mpg city and 28 highway. Handling isn’t something that many consider when minivan shopping, but the fifth generation Odyssey notably rides on a much stiffer platform than the previous version, and it also has a quicker steering ratio, a lighter overall weight, and a rear stabilizer bar. In addition, the inside of the Odyssey can be an open space for storage if so desired, and it is capable of being the most cavernous minivan in its class with a maximum 144.9 cubic feet of space. Space is 32.8 cubic feet behind the third row when it is up and 86.6 cubic feet behind the second row. For 2019, Honda added another 2.5-amp USB port for the center console in EX-L and higher models, but otherwise, the interior technology is largely the same as 2018. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard along with a power driver’s seat, Bluetooth, automatic climate control, a reversing camera, a 7-speaker stereo, and power mirrors. Stepping up to the higher trims adds lots of enticing features, several of them with fun names. The EX model adds a power sliding feature for both doors as well as “Magic Slide,” which adjusts the second-row seats and allows the captain’s chairs to slide sideways or be removed altogether. The EX also gets heated front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, HD radio, fog lights, remote start, heated mirrors, more app connectivity, and the CabinControl app that allows passengers to use the stereo and control the climate control from a phone. CabinControl also allows passengers to make and edit a playlist of songs, podcasts, or other forms of entertainment. Stepping up to the EX-L adds leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, memory features for the driver’s seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, a sunroof, and a power-operated tailgate. The Touring model gets start/stop ignition, 4G LTE hotspot capability, a vacuum cleaner, sunshades for the back row, LED headlights and fog lights, and parking sensors for the front and back. Finally, the Odyssey Elite gets an 11-speaker stereo, rain-sensing wipers, power-folding mirrors, wireless device charging, heated and cooled front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Touring and Elite models also get what’s called CabinWatch, which allows parents to keep an eye on rear passengers and admonish them if necessary via the appropriately named CabinTalk feature. Along with keeping the family happy, the Odyssey has also always aimed to keep the family safe. The current model has already received a Top Safety Pick recognition from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a five out of five stars overall score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Odyssey EX and above trims also get the Honda Sensing suite of safety technology, which includes collision mitigation braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and road departure mitigation. A reversing camera is standard, which is handy when maneuvering a long, wide minivan loaded with people.
