How much does the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback cost?

There are 938 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2019 Civic Hatchback stands out for its sporty, European-inspired look, practical hatchback body style, and modern tech such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers a useful mix of manual and CVT transmissions, plus available features like a moonroof, heated seats, blind-spot monitors, and navigation depending on trim. For you, that means it works well if you want a compact hatch with everyday utility and a more engaging personality than a basic commuter. 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2019 Civic Hatchback is described as a practical, well-equipped compact hatch with a strong feature list and appealing driving character, though the base engines are noted as underwhelming and reliability is not uniformly perfect across the lineup. That means you should expect a generally appealing ownership experience, but used buyers still need to be careful about condition and maintenance history to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback?

At 52.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any car you’re seriously considering and confirm whether it has been in a collision or had structural repairs. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, paint consistency, and signs of poor repair work, then make sure the car’s equipment matches the trim and options you want. Because the model can be found with different feature sets, focus on whether the specific car has the safety and convenience equipment you expect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 938 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.82% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,148, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback's resale value?

The current average of $18,349 sits slightly below last year's $19,278.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, softer pricing means resale gains may be more limited unless your car is especially clean, well maintained, and well equipped. If you keep mileage reasonable and preserve condition, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,563, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,349 average.
• It offers a more engaging, stylish hatchback experience with a more modern-feeling personality.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2019 if you want the better value and more room to shop for a deal. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2020 is the secondary path for buyers who want a slightly fresher alternative.
