How much does the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback cost?

Prices have softened 5.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 933 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used examples to compare.

Is the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback a good car?

Yes — 5/5. The 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback combines a sporty, European-inspired look with practical hatchback utility, and it adds modern tech like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get a useful feature set for the class, with available manual and CVT transmissions and trims that can add conveniences such as a moonroof, heated seats, leather, blind-spot monitors, navigation, and a power driver’s seat. For you, that means it can work well if you want a compact hatch with everyday versatility and a more engaging feel than a basic commuter. 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also notes that reliability is not uniformly perfect across the lineup, so you should expect some variation from one used example to the next. That makes condition and maintenance history especially important if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback?

At 52.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any car you’re seriously considering and confirm whether it has accident, title, or repair records. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair, then verify that the features you want are actually installed. Because the Honda Sensing suite was optional at launch, make sure a specific car has the driver-assistance equipment you expect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 933 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.14% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,145, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback's resale value?

The current average of $18,337 sits slightly below last year's $19,331.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example with strong equipment and clean history should be easier to market than one with accident records or missing features. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,678, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,337 average.
• It offers a more engaging personality with a stylish, fun-to-drive character.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year, the 2020 is the secondary path for buyers who want a slightly fresher alternative.
