Summary

Why it stands out
The 2019 Honda Accord stands out as a roomy, well-rounded family sedan that blends practicality with a more upscale feel than many buyers expect in this class. Honda’s buying guide describes the Accord as high-quality, practical, and good to drive, and it also notes that the model has grown into a “large car” by EPA standards, which helps explain its expansive cargo hold and roomy rear seat. That same guide also points to the Accord’s near-luxury-car feel, especially in higher trims with leather-trimmed seats, while owner feedback reinforces the appeal of its stylish design, luxurious interior, and comfortable, spacious cockpit.
What makes the 2019 model especially appealing is how much everyday usability it packs in without becoming complicated. The Accord’s infotainment is described as pleasant and easy to use, and the generation guide says modern Accords offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility through large touchscreens. Safety is another major strength: starting with the tenth generation, all Accord models come standard with Honda Sensing, which includes lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision braking, and road-departure mitigation. The same generation also brought a simple, easy-to-use interior layout, physical HVAC controls, and strong rear-seat comfort, along with best-in-class cargo space among its contemporaries.
There are a few tradeoffs to keep in mind. The buying guide lists no AWD options among the Accord’s drawbacks, and it also notes that the model tends to be more expensive than its competitors. Owner comments add that some drivers notice engine noise and wind noise at highway speeds. Even so, the 2019 Honda Accord remains distinctive because it combines space, safety, refinement, and everyday ease of use in a package that feels more polished than most mainstream midsize sedans.

How much does the 2019 Honda Accord cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $18,815 |
| Year-Round Low | $18,497.33 |
| Year-Round High | $20,030.06 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $20,031 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −6.07% |
Prices have softened 6.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 3,750 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare against.
If you find a listing below $18,497.33, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2019 Honda Accord a good car?
Generally — the 4.43/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the stylish design, luxurious interior, and comfortable, spacious cockpit, while also highlighting the smooth ride and impressive fuel economy. For you, that means this Accord fits especially well if you want a roomy family sedan that feels more upscale than many rivals and still works well as an everyday commuter. With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2019 Honda Accord reliable?
Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback specifically calls out excellent reliability, along with a reputation for being dependable and trouble-free over the long term. That kind of praise matters if you want a used sedan you can count on for daily driving without constant surprises. For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s core durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by heavy use.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Accord?
At 53.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus your attention on overall condition, signs of repair quality, and whether the car’s wear matches its mileage and asking price.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Accord?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.
- Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 3,750 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.07% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 53.4% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $18,497.33, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Honda Accord's resale value?
The current average of $18,815 sits slightly below last year's $20,031.
That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the Accord’s broad appeal should still help it hold attention, especially because shoppers tend to value roomy, practical sedans with strong owner satisfaction. A well-kept example should remain easier to move than a less popular or less trusted alternative.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Honda Accord or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 53.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.07% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2018 if:
- At $18,046, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $18,815 average.
- It is the all-new redesign with a more engaging driving character.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $20,322, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,815 average.
- It adds useful tech and a more polished daily-driving feel.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and shopping flexibility, the 2019 is the strongest default choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2018 is the better value play, while the 2020 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package.
