How much does the 2019 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 12.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,083 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

Yes — the 4.57/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spaciousness, comfortable ride, and generous cargo space, and those strengths line up well with the Yukon XL’s role as a large family hauler. The overview also highlights its roomy third row, strong towing-and-hauling capability, and premium Denali appeal, so it fits you well if you want a big SUV built around space and comfort. With 37.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2019 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

Owners rate it 4.57/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort, space, and everyday usability. That kind of long-term approval matters for a used SUV this size, because you want a vehicle you can count on for family duty and regular hauling. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the cabin experience and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t absorbed hidden wear from heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 GMC Yukon XL?

At 62.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large SUV that may have seen family, towing, or high-mileage use. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Yukon XL?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,083 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,939, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $24,964 sits slightly below last year's $28,609.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the SUV for a while. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale upside may be more limited than it was a year ago, so condition and mileage will matter even more when it’s time to trade in or list the vehicle. Strong demand for roomy, comfortable family SUVs can still support value, especially when the vehicle presents well and has a clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better primary choice if you want a large, comfortable, and capable Yukon XL with strong owner approval and a softer market price than last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 gives you a compelling mix of value, satisfaction, and available inventory.
