Is the 2019 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback highlights a vehicle that many owners find dependable, with praise centered on its family-friendly usability and strong overall ownership experience. That said, the model’s long-term ownership risk is worth weighing carefully, so a thorough pre-purchase check matters more than usual on a used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Dodge Durango?

At 62.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, paint consistency, and signs of past collision work, since those details can affect both reliability and resale. It also makes sense to focus on how the vehicle presents overall, because condition differences can be significant in a market with mixed history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,885 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,552, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $18,552 sits slightly below last year's $21,214.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can limit upside if you buy at the wrong price. If you plan to resell later, your best protection is to buy well, keep the vehicle in strong condition, and avoid overpaying relative to the current market. A lower entry price today can help you preserve more of your value when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,420, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $18,552 average.
• It adds a new SRT trim and more standard tech.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,602, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,552 average.
• It leans harder into muscle-car styling and high-horsepower appeal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the best all-around choice if you want a strong mix of owner satisfaction, deal potential, and current market value. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2018 is the better bargain path, while the 2020 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling take on the same formula.
