Used 2019 Cadillac XT4 for Sale nearNew York, NY

How much does the 2019 Cadillac XT4 cost?

Prices have softened 8.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 711 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Cadillac XT4 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Cadillac XT4 earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its beautiful design, comfortable ride, user-friendly controls, and good value. That lines up with the XT4’s role as Cadillac’s smallest crossover, aimed at shoppers who want a premium small SUV that feels stylish and easy to live with. You also get a sense of broad appeal from the way it blends luxury features with everyday usability. 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2019 Cadillac XT4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with repeated praise for the XT4’s long-term appeal, comfort, and overall value. The expert evaluation also frames it as a practical, well-engineered crossover with a solid platform foundation. Cadillac’s cost-conscious approach to the base trim helps at the start, but the need to add options can make long-term ownership costs less predictable for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Cadillac XT4?

At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, panel alignment, and any signs of prior repair. It also makes sense to focus on how the cabin electronics, ride quality, and visibility systems are functioning, since those are central to the XT4’s day-to-day appeal. If a listing has been optioned heavily, make sure every added feature works as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxury trim includes LED headlights, keyless entry and ignition with remote start, dual-zone automatic climate controls, a 7-speaker stereo with satellite radio, and an 8-inch touchscreen, but it leaves out auto wipers and mirrors, a driver memory system, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, a power liftgate, a rear cargo cover, and ambient lights. The Premium Luxury trim adds those missing convenience and visibility features, while the Sport trim adds LED turn signals, front cornering lamps, a sport steering wheel, sport front seats, and unique faux leather inside.
• Powertrain: The XT4 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic. It is quick off the line, but the transmission can hunt for gears in slow traffic, and AWD is recommended if you want better traction.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen with Cadillac’s CUE system, plus standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. USB-C ports are included, and the system is more familiar and usable than Cadillac’s older touch-sensitive setup.
• Fuel efficiency: The XT4 is rated at 27 mpg combined in FWD form, and AWD drops that to an EPA-estimated 24 mpg combined.

Which 2019 Cadillac XT4 trim should I buy?

The 2019 Cadillac XT4 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT4’s core luxury basics at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the cleanest path into the model, but you should be aware of the feature gaps that leave it feeling stripped compared with the higher trims.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds the convenience and safety equipment many buyers expect in a luxury crossover. It closes several of the base trim’s biggest omissions without pushing you all the way to the top.
• Sport: This trim is for you if you want the XT4’s most distinctive appearance and a more aggressive cabin presentation. It adds sport-specific styling and seating, but it is best viewed as the style-focused choice rather than the value pick.

The safety content notes that important safety systems are optional, so you should pay close attention to how each trim is equipped.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Cadillac XT4?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 711 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,655, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Cadillac XT4's resale value?

The current average of $18,657 sits slightly below last year's $20,358.

That decline suggests the XT4 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a used buyer. If you plan to resell later, the current pricing gives you a lower entry point, but future value will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept examples with desirable features should be easier to move than stripped or heavily worn ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Cadillac XT4 safe?

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The XT4 has not been tested by NHTSA or IIHS, so you do not get a crash-test result to anchor your decision. The available safety equipment is strong on paper, with features such as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward-collision alert with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping warning and assist, auto high beams, and a following-distance indicator. The catch is that several of those systems are tied to options, so you should verify exactly what a used listing includes before you buy.

Should I buy a 2019 Cadillac XT4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 XT4 is a fresh, all-new compact crossover built to help Cadillac compete in a crossover-heavy market.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,465, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,657 average.
• It is described as stylish, comfortable, useful, enjoyable to drive, and easy to like.

The bottom line: If you want the lower price and a strong value story, the 2019 is the better starting point. If you are willing to spend more for a slightly newer model with a friendlier daily-use personality, the 2020 is worth a look.

How does the 2019 Cadillac XT4 compare to the 2019 Buick Envision?

Our experts score the 2019 Cadillac XT4 6.8/10 and the 2019 Buick Envision 7.3/10. The XT4 brings stronger style and a more modern luxury feel, while the Envision edges ahead on overall expert score and value. The XT4 also has a higher average used price, but it offers more listings and a slightly better good-and-great deal share. If you want the more distinctive premium crossover, the XT4 is appealing; if you want the better overall score and lower average price, the Envision has the edge.
