How much does the 2019 BMW X3 cost?

Prices have softened 9.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,882 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 BMW X3 earns a 4.78/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfortable ride, and high-quality interior, and many also like the advanced features and polished cabin feel. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a compact luxury SUV that balances everyday usefulness with a more engaging driving experience. With 36.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive listing.

Is the 2019 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with repeated praise for the vehicle’s comfortable ride and overall quality. The same reviews suggest that many drivers feel confident living with it over time, even if some mention minor annoyances and higher costs for optional equipment. For used buyers, that means the bigger long-term risk is less about basic satisfaction and more about making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been well maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 BMW X3?

At 73.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW X3?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,882 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,110, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $18,180 sits slightly below last year's $20,046.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average because buyers still respond to the model’s strong reputation and premium appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,897, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $18,180 average.
• It offers the appeal of a fully redesigned third-generation X3.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger overall market balance of price, satisfaction, and deal availability. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2018 is the better value play, especially if you find one in excellent condition and with a clean history.
