How much does the 2019 BMW X3 cost?

Prices have softened 9.89% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,855 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 BMW X3 earns a 4.78/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfortable ride, and high-quality interior, and many also like the advanced features and premium feel. It fits especially well if you want a luxury SUV that still prioritizes driving enjoyment and family-friendly practicality. With 35.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a generally dependable ownership experience, with many drivers describing the X3 as comfortable and enjoyable over time. The same feedback also suggests that you should pay attention to the kinds of issues that can affect long-term ownership costs, especially on used luxury SUVs.

For used buyers, the main risk is less about day-to-day satisfaction and more about whether prior maintenance has kept the vehicle in good shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 BMW X3?

At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can screen for accidents, title issues, and ownership patterns before you get too far into the process. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention on electronics, oil leaks, and cooling-system condition. Focus on overall maintenance records and visible wear, since a premium SUV like this can be more expensive to bring back into top shape if it has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW X3?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,855 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.89% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,133, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $18,148 sits slightly below last year's $20,139.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable level, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot, especially in a luxury SUV segment where buyers compare closely on features and upkeep. A well-kept example should hold up better than one with visible wear or incomplete records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,791, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $18,148 average.
• It offers a fresh redesign in the third-generation X3.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall value balance, the 2019 is the better primary target because it combines a lower current average price with solid owner satisfaction and a healthy deal pool. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2018 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition with good service history.
