How much does the 2019 BMW M5 cost?

Is the 2019 BMW M5 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 BMW M5 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its incredible power, luxury, and performance, and they also highlight its exceptional speed and solid handling. That makes it a strong fit if you want a high-performance luxury sedan that still works as an everyday car. Is the 2019 BMW M5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe this M5 as reliable, dependable, and trouble-free in the context of their ownership experience, with no major dislikes reported in the review summary. That kind of feedback suggests the car can be a confident long-term choice when it has been properly maintained. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about whether a high-performance example has been cared for consistently over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 BMW M5?

At 63.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on signs of hard use, uneven wear, and any evidence of deferred maintenance. Because this is a performance sedan, condition matters more than mileage alone, so you want the cleanest, best-documented example you can find.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW M5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 139 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $52,388, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW M5's resale value?

The current average of $52,452 sits slightly below last year's $56,165.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to resell later, the current softness may limit short-term appreciation, but it can also make the car easier to move if you buy well. Strong condition and a clean history should matter a lot when it comes time to attract the next buyer.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW M5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2019 if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, current pricing softness, and a broad enough pool of listings to shop selectively. If your top priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2019 remains the better all-around target when you want the M5 experience with solid market support behind it.
