How much does the 2019 BMW 4 Series cost?

Is the 2019 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2019 BMW 4 Series earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a premium two-door coupe and convertible that emphasizes style, strong performance, and a well-equipped cabin. You also get a lower, sleeker body than the 3 Series, plus the added practicality of the Gran Coupe body style, so it fits you well if you want something more distinctive than a conventional midsize luxury car. 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 4 Series is described as generally well equipped and enjoyable to drive, with the tradeoff that BMW repairs can be costly if something goes wrong. That means your best protection as a used buyer is a careful service-history check and a thorough pre-purchase inspection so you can reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 BMW 4 Series?

At 54.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent repairs, then make sure the cabin and mechanical condition match the seller’s description. Because BMW repairs can be costly if something goes wrong, a clean service record matters just as much as cosmetic condition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW 4 Series?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 820 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,194, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $19,197 sits slightly below last year's $20,534.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on how well you preserve the car’s condition and documentation. A clean history and strong maintenance records should matter more when it comes time to sell, especially in a premium model where buyers are cautious about prior damage and upkeep.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2019 is the primary year to target. It gives you a premium, well-equipped BMW coupe or convertible with a softer price than a year ago, so it makes sense as the default choice if condition and history check out. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the broader market for the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker alone.
