CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Audi Q7

Summary
With 1,180 currently listed for sale and an average price of $18,888.00, 33.3% of 2019 Audi Q7s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Audi Q7 4.71 / 5 stars.
73.6% of 2019 Q7 models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2019 Audi Q7 stands out as a three-row luxury SUV that blends Audi’s clean design with strong everyday usability. It offers comfortable front and second-row seating, while the third row is best reserved for children, and its cargo area is generous when the seats are folded. The Q7 also has a reputation for good driving dynamics, which helps it feel more polished than many larger SUVs.
For 2019, the Q7’s appeal is tied to its available turbocharged V6, which is the better choice in the lineup and also brings 7,700 pounds of towing capacity. The model’s technology was already a strength by this point, with Audi Virtual Cockpit and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available through the Navigation Plus package. Owners also praise the interior quality, comfort, and ride quality, which fit the Q7’s upscale mission well.
There are tradeoffs, though. The turbocharged four-cylinder is described as underpowered and not especially efficient when working hard, and the Q7 requires premium fuel. Repair costs can be high, so while the 2019 Q7 can feel like a compelling used luxury SUV, it is best suited to buyers who value refinement, space, and available performance over low running costs.

Reviewed a 2019 Audi Q7 on Mar 5, 2020
Have driven everything over the last five decades, Benz, Lexi, BMW & Audi. Plus all the domestics, Mazda & Nissan as well. Have had a 1st Gen Q7 TDI for the last four years and loved it. However, the 2nd Gen (& 2020) Q7 really is the best of all worlds in terms of the SUV experience. Best ergonomics, MMI & interior quality in its class (or any class for that matter). Adequate performance for a daily driver (SQ for sub 5 second adrenaline junkies), and an unparalleled ride quality at speed. Understanding that there are high quality designs from everyone these days (its a great time to buy an automobile), there remains a creme de la creme segment in terms of design & quality. My informed opinion is that Audi retains its lead in this segment, albeit narrowly, and the Q7 is the best definition of SUV you will find anywhere.

| Change vs. Last Year | −14.13% |
Prices have softened 14.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,224 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
If you find a listing below $18,862.35, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2019 Audi Q7 a good car?
Yes — the 2019 Audi Q7 earns a 4.71/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise the interior quality, comfort, and ride quality, and many also like its performance and value compared with other luxury options. That lines up well with the Q7’s role as a three-row luxury SUV that gives you comfortable front and second-row seating, generous cargo space with the seats folded, and a polished driving feel for everyday use. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2019 Audi Q7 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, quality, and a vehicle that meets or exceeds expectations. That kind of response suggests the Q7 can be a reassuring used buy if you prioritize refinement and consistency over bargain running costs. For long-term ownership, you should still budget carefully because repair costs can be high on a used luxury SUV.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Audi Q7?
At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your list, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus your condition check on signs of past repairs, uneven wear, and anything that suggests the vehicle has been used harder than average.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Audi Q7?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with leverage if you stay disciplined.
- Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,224 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 14.13% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 73.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $18,862.35, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Audi Q7's resale value?
The current average of $18,857 sits slightly below last year's $21,960.
That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you can reduce the impact of that depreciation. The Q7’s appeal as a refined three-row luxury SUV should still support demand among shoppers who want comfort, space, and a premium feel.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 14.13% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $24,635, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,857 average.
- It brings a thorough refresh to styling, interior, powertrain, and technology.
The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and history. If you want the newer update and are willing to pay more, the 2020 is the cleaner upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2019 is the smarter starting point because it already offers strong owner satisfaction and a softer market price.
