How much does the 2018 Toyota Corolla cost?

Prices are up 1.42% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,713 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Toyota Corolla a good car?

Generally — with a 4.2/5 user rating, this Corolla lands in the range where shoppers tend to value it for the right reasons. Drivers consistently praise its great gas mileage, reliability, and ease of driving, and they also like its value and comfortable interior. The tradeoff is that some owners want more advanced tech and a stronger sound system, so it fits you best if you want a practical compact car rather than something flashy. The 32.8% share of good or great deals suggests there are still worthwhile listings to find if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Toyota Corolla reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable, and they also highlight its trouble-free ownership, strong fuel economy, and easy day-to-day use. That combination points to a car you can count on for commuting and routine driving, especially if you want low-stress ownership over the long term. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding a specific example that has been maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Toyota Corolla?

At 47.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, since accident history can affect both condition and resale value. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven repairs, then make sure the car drives straight and feels consistent at highway speeds. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a clean, well-kept example is the one most likely to reward you later.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,713 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.42% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 47.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,513, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $14,567 sits slightly above last year's $14,364.

That upward move suggests the market still sees steady value in this model year, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A stable price trend like this usually means you are less likely to face a steep drop as long as the car stays in good condition and has a clean history. Strong demand for practical, efficient compact cars can help keep the Corolla competitive when it is time to trade in or list it privately.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 47.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.42% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $13,851, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $14,567 average.
• It adds standard Safety Sense P and a more complete safety package.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, demand, and owner satisfaction, the 2018 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2017 is the smarter alternative to compare closely, especially if you find one with a cleaner history and similar condition.
