Used 2018 Tesla Model S for Sale near Washington

How much does the 2018 Tesla Model S cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 320 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Tesla Model S a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its exceptional performance, impressive acceleration, and innovative features like autopilot and smart air suspension. The spacious cabin and luxurious feel also stand out, especially if you want a high-tech electric sedan with everyday usability. With 36.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Tesla Model S reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a dependable ownership experience in the sense that many drivers feel confident in the car’s performance and technology over time, with praise for its innovative features and strong day-to-day usability. That said, some owners mention build quality concerns, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is most likely to come from condition and maintenance history rather than the core driving experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Tesla Model S?

At 74.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, panel fit, electronics, and signs of uneven wear. Because owner feedback points to build-quality concerns, condition should matter as much as mileage when you compare listings.

If you find a listing below $21,578, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Tesla Model S's resale value?

The current average of $23,661 sits slightly above last year's $23,544.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed relatively stable, which is helpful if you plan to resell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate future value, especially when the model continues to attract shoppers looking for a premium electric sedan. Strong demand for well-kept examples should help support pricing, particularly for cars with cleaner histories and better presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Model S with stable pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and a decent pool of listings to compare, the 2018 is a sensible primary target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
