The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with comfort and value showing up as recurring strengths. That kind of response suggests the Murano can be a sensible long-term choice if you prioritize a smooth, easygoing daily driver. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about outright dissatisfaction and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

At 65.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage or repairs. After that, put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your list, especially if the listing price looks unusually strong. Focus on overall condition, including signs of bodywork, interior wear, and how smoothly the vehicle drives, because those details matter more when you’re shopping a comfort-oriented SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing multiple listings.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,413 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,008, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $14,008 sits slightly below last year's $15,603.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the right number now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for shoppers who value comfort and a premium-feeling cabin over utility-first alternatives.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.

The bottom line:

The 2018 Murano is a smart pick if you want a comfort-focused midsize SUV with strong owner approval and a softer price than it had a year ago. If your priority is value, this year looks especially appealing right now. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can also keep shopping nearby model years and compare condition, accident history, and asking price to find the best overall deal.
