Is the 2018 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable, comfortable, and easy to live with over time. For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction can reduce long-term ownership risk, especially if you choose a well-maintained example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and how well the cabin and mechanical components have been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,427 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,884, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $13,884 sits slightly below last year's $15,539.

That price movement suggests the Murano has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help limit how much value it loses from here compared with a newer purchase. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell. Strong owner satisfaction can also help support demand in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want the Murano’s comfort-first character, strong owner approval, and a lower used price than newer years. If your priority is stretching your budget, this year looks especially appealing. If you want to compare against a newer model, a later year may make sense, but the 2018 is the better value play for price-sensitive buyers.
