Used 2018 Mazda CX-3 for Sale nearWorcester, MA

How much does the 2018 Mazda CX-3 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 322 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Mazda CX-3 a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and the expert score is 8/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its great handling, smooth ride, and attractive design. The compact size and AWD capability also come through as recurring strengths, and the overview points to a small crossover that prioritizes driving feel while adding more everyday reassurance with standard safety equipment. With a 32.6% share of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to find a compelling value.

Is the 2018 Mazda CX-3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers saying they feel good about the CX-3’s long-term appeal and can count on its everyday behavior.

The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by describing the powertrain as smooth and the transmission as quiet and well-behaved, while the added cabin insulation and sound deadening help the vehicle feel more settled over time. If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical drama and more about finding one that has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Mazda CX-3?

At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because the CX-3’s appeal depends heavily on how it drives and feels, pay close attention to suspension behavior, cabin condition, and whether the interior equipment works as expected. Cargo space is limited, so make sure the vehicle still fits your real-world needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport trim gets a 7-inch touchscreen, reversing camera, push-button start, cruise control, Bluetooth, air conditioning, and a 6-speaker stereo, while the Touring adds 18-inch alloys, auto headlights and wipers, heated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto climate controls, heated mirrors, proximity entry, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts. The Grand Touring adds full exterior LEDs, leather-trimmed seats with Alcantara inserts, a head-up display, paddle shifters, and navigation.
• Powertrain: Every CX-3 uses a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It makes 146 hp and 146 lb-ft of torque, and the setup is tuned for responsive everyday driving rather than outright speed.
• Safety package: The CX-3 includes low-speed emergency braking as standard, and the Touring trim adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts. The Premium Package adds upgraded forward-collision warning and auto-braking, adaptive cruise, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and traffic-sign recognition.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Mazda Connect app integration. The system does not include Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
• Fuel efficiency: The CX-3 is described as coming very close to its advertised 31 mpg combined rating, with 29 mpg city and 34 mpg highway estimates.

Which 2018 Mazda CX-3 trim should I buy?

The 2018 Mazda CX-3 is offered in 3 trim levels: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the value play if you want the CX-3’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the redesigned suspension, standard low-speed emergency braking, a 7-inch touchscreen, and the compact crossover’s sharp handling, but you give up the extra comfort and safety features found higher up.
• Touring: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It adds the features that make the CX-3 feel more complete, including heated seats, auto climate control, proximity entry, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, and the content specifically calls it a great place to find yourself.
• Grand Touring: Choose this if you want the most upscale version of the CX-3, with leather-trimmed seats, a head-up display, navigation, paddle shifters, and full exterior LEDs. It makes the most sense if you want the richest feature set and plan to add the Premium Package for the most advanced safety tech.

Mazda notes that the more advanced safety systems are available on the Touring trim, while the Premium Package is the route to the fullest safety feature set.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mazda CX-3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 322 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,317, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mazda CX-3's resale value?

The current average of $14,988 sits slightly below last year's $15,121.

That small decline suggests the CX-3 has held its value fairly steadily rather than dropping sharply. For a future seller, that kind of price movement usually points to a market that remains reasonably stable, especially when the vehicle has the kind of strong appeal this model year has with shoppers. Well-kept examples should continue to attract interest because the model’s driving feel and design remain part of its draw.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Mazda CX-3 safe?

The 2018 Mazda CX-3 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The CX-3 includes low-speed emergency braking as standard, and Mazda also makes more advanced safety systems available on the Touring trim. Those upgrades include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the Premium Package adds upgraded forward-collision warning and auto-braking, adaptive cruise, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and traffic-sign recognition. The main caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on every trim.

Should I buy a 2018 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Mazda’s 2018 updates add standard low-speed emergency braking, a redesigned suspension, and more cabin insulation for a more refined drive.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $16,013, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $14,988 average.
• It is a more polished, stylish, and fun-to-drive version with a more refined feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2018 is the smarter starting point because it combines steady pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and meaningful updates. If you’re willing to spend more for a fresher-feeling version with extra polish, the 2019 is the better upgrade path.
