How much does the 2018 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 8.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,587 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable interior, smooth driving experience, spaciousness, and safety features, while the overview highlights its family-friendly layout and broad feature set. For you, that means the Sorento makes the most sense if you want a practical midsize SUV with room, comfort, and value-oriented appeal. With 34.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many people find dependable in daily use, with repeated praise for its smooth driving experience and comfortable cabin. At the same time, some owners mention potential mechanical issues, so a careful inspection matters if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Kia Sorento?

At 59% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you commit. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or a V6 engine. Focus your condition check on signs of prior bodywork, uneven wear, and any warning lights or drivability issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,587 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,072, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $12,072 sits slightly below last year's $13,126.

That price movement suggests the Sorento has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale performance may depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on market momentum alone. Well-kept examples should still draw interest because the model has broad family appeal and a strong reputation for comfort and value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $10,877, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $12,072 average.
• It emphasizes broad balance, comfort, and practicality.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $13,631, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $12,072 average.
• It adds more updates, a more upscale feel, and stronger safety confidence.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, owner satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2018 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2017 is the better value play, while the 2019 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package.
