How much does the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 8.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,709 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its strong performance, comfort, luxurious features, spacious interior, and impressive technology, while also valuing its off-road capability. For you, that means this model year fits especially well if you want a midsize SUV that balances everyday comfort with capability and a more premium feel. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback highlights a dependable ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centered on comfort, performance, and the ability to count on its capability in daily use. At the same time, some buyers have noted fuel economy and pricing concerns, so long-term ownership risk is best managed by focusing on maintenance history and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch hidden body, suspension, or drivetrain issues. Focus your attention on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of prior repair quality, especially if you are comparing multiple listings at similar prices.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This is a moderate market, so you can buy now if the right listing checks your boxes, but you should still compare carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,709 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,332, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $16,332 sits slightly below last year's $17,778.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if market conditions stay similar. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your resale position. Demand should remain supported by the model's broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $14,154, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $16,332 average.
• It offers broad trim choice with strong off-road identity.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $17,839, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $16,332 average.
• It emphasizes everyday usability with strong on-road and off-road balance.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2018 if you want the best mix of modern features, strong owner satisfaction, and a softened price. If your budget is tighter, the 2017 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2019 is the natural step up.
