How much does the 2018 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 3.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,730 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its great value, reliability, and impressive fuel economy, while also highlighting its safety features and technology. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a compact car that balances everyday usability with a sporty feel. With 32.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a meaningful chance to find attractive pricing.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes reliability, and it also points to a car that many drivers feel they can count on over time. That said, you should still weigh known ownership risks carefully when shopping used, especially because long-term durability depends heavily on maintenance history and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Civic?

At 47.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any candidate you’re serious about, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection before you commit. Focus closely on accident repairs, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership costs. If a car has incomplete records or visible inconsistencies, move on unless the price clearly compensates for the risk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Civic?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,730 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.67% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 47.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,651, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $15,771 sits slightly below last year's $16,372.

That price movement suggests the Civic has softened enough to create a better entry point for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if the market keeps easing. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect your exit value. Demand should remain supported by the model’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 47.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $17,143, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $15,771 average.
• It offers a broader mix of body styles, engines, and transmissions.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2018 if you want the better value play and are willing to shop carefully for condition. If you can stretch your budget and want more variety, the 2019 is the stronger secondary path.
