How much does the 2018 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 3.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,776 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Civic earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its value, reliability, and impressive fuel economy, and they also highlight its safety features and technology. The Civic’s stylish, sporty personality helps it stand out if you want a compact car that feels more engaging than a basic commuter. For you, that means it fits well if you want practical everyday transportation with a more distinctive driving character. With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still meaningful shopping room in the market.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as reliable and dependable, and the review summary also points to a car many drivers feel comfortable counting on for everyday use. That said, you should still shop carefully because long-term ownership risk can rise if a used example has unresolved maintenance or repair history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Civic?

At 48.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can screen for accidents, title issues, and recurring service patterns. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or incomplete maintenance records. Focus closely on overall condition, because a clean-looking Civic can still hide repair needs that matter more than cosmetic wear.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,776 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.48% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,651, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $15,846 sits slightly below last year's $16,418.

That softer pricing can help you buy more efficiently now, but it also suggests future resale gains may be more gradual than dramatic. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot, especially because buyers tend to reward clean examples in a crowded compact-car market. Strong demand for well-kept Civics should help support value, but the current price trend means you should not expect a big appreciation story.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $17,121, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $15,846 average.
• It broadens the Civic’s appeal with sedan, coupe, and hatchback choices across four engines and two transmissions.

The 2018 is the better path if you want a lower average price and strong owner satisfaction without giving up the Civic’s core strengths. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2018 is the smarter buy; if you want more body-style and powertrain variety, the 2019 is worth the extra money.
