CarGurus Analysis: 2018 Chrysler 300

Summary
With 75 currently listed for sale near Birmingham, AL and an average price of $9,499.00, 24.0% of 2018 Chrysler 300s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2018 Chrysler 300 4.75 / 5 stars.
68.0% of 2018 Chrysler 300 models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2018 Chrysler 300 stands out as a big, rear-wheel-drive American sedan that blends classic styling with a roomy, upscale feel. By this point in its run, the car had already been updated with a softer exterior look, a more upscale cabin, and major improvements to the UConnect touchscreen infotainment system. It also offered available adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keep assist, which helped give the 300 a more modern edge without losing its traditional full-size-sedan character.
What makes the 2018 model especially appealing is the way it balances comfort, power, and everyday usability. Chrysler’s 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 gave buyers strong engine choices, and the eight-speed automatic transmission was standard across the lineup by this point. AWD was still limited to V6 models, and that setup could be a plus for buyers who wanted extra confidence in poor weather. Owners also tend to praise the 300’s luxurious feel and spacious interior, though the infotainment system has drawn some criticism, and the car’s size and fuel appetite remain part of the tradeoff.

The features that came with the car for the price were great and exactly what I was looking for and more. The car with all the upgraded features for the specific model I had were below the market value was a great value. I would compare it to a dodge charger.

Reviewed a 2018 Chrysler C RWD on Aug 21, 2022
I purchased my 2018 300C in 2019 and it currently has just over 24,000 miles. I test drove a Charger RT and a Taurus SHO before purchasing my black with mocha interior Chrysler 300C . Comparing prices, the Chrysler was the best choice hands down. Fantastic heated and cooled Napa leather seating. Navigation bliss, heated /cooled cup holders. 20 rims and a 5.7 Hemi. A solid Luxury and performance full size sedan. Ive had an issue with the Uconnect infotainment system that had my car setting at my dealerships service lot for 30 days waiting for parts but was supplied with a loaner vehicle and some financial assistance from Chrysler customer care. Its a nice sedan, but isnt the best regarding fuel mileage but I purchased the 300C because of the fantastic price compared to the aforementioned vehicles and the luxury and performance it offered. I keep hearing the 300 is being discontinued. Its basically the same looking vehicle since 2015, but i still like its unique and classic look. Its a solid full-size sedan that has room for 5 and a large trunk for luggage. I recommend if your in the market for a full size sedan. Take a look at the Chrysler 300 before they are discontinued

Prices have softened 6.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 741 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.
If you find a listing below $14,841.78, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2018 Chrysler 300 a good car?
Yes — the 2018 Chrysler 300 earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its luxurious feel, comfort, and spacious interior, and many also like the quality features and confident performance in snowy conditions. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a large sedan with a roomy cabin and a more upscale personality than a typical family car. With 27.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.
Is the 2018 Chrysler 300 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
User feedback also highlights dependable comfort, trouble-free ownership impressions, and confidence in the car’s performance over time, especially in all-wheel-drive use. That said, used buyers should still plan for normal age-related wear and verify that the car has been maintained well, since long-term ownership risk depends heavily on condition and service history.
What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Chrysler 300?
At 54.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the car has any accident history. Focus on body condition, panel alignment, interior wear, and whether the infotainment system works properly, since those are the kinds of issues that can affect your ownership experience most.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chrysler 300?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

- Inventory: There are 741 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.93% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 54.3% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $14,841.78, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2018 Chrysler 300's resale value?
The current average of $14,824 sits slightly below last year's $15,929.
That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been cared for than on broad market momentum. If you keep the car clean, well maintained, and documented, you give yourself a better chance of standing out when it is time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2018 Chrysler 300 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2018 if:
- 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 54.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.93% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2017 if:
- At $13,937, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $14,824 average.
- It offers a broad range of trims and powertrains with a bold, upscale large-sedan feel.
The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy, the 2018 is the stronger choice because it combines a lower current market price with strong owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2017 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can live with its older-market positioning.
