Used 2018 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearColumbia, SC

How much does the 2018 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 8.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,333 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2018 Trax is positioned as an easy-to-live-with, relatively affordable small SUV with useful space and a higher seating position. Its appeal is strongest if you want practical crossover packaging, smartphone integration, and available features like all-wheel drive and driver-assist equipment rather than standout performance. The market also shows 30.1% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2018 Trax is described as a practical, value-minded choice with respectable fuel economy and safety results, but not class-leading performance. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about finding a well-kept example than expecting a standout mechanical reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Chevrolet Trax?

At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the listing has any accident or repair history. Focus on overall condition, signs of inconsistent maintenance, and whether the features you want still work properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Trax?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,333 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.53% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,707, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $9,730 sits slightly below last year's $10,637.

That price movement suggests the Trax has softened enough to be attractive on the used market, but it also means future sellers may face some depreciation pressure if demand stays value-focused. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your exit price later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $8,985, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $9,730 average.
• It adds a fresher design and more modern connectivity.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the current-year pricing context and a broad set of listings to compare. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2017 is the better value play and still brings a refreshed feature set.
