How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Trax earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong shopper satisfaction. The Trax stands out as a subcompact SUV that emphasizes space, value, and everyday usability, with more rear passenger room and significantly more cargo capacity than the original model. It also brings a modern cabin, useful standard tech, and a compact footprint that makes it easy to live with. For you, that means it fits well if you want a small SUV that feels bigger and better equipped than its price suggests. There are 38.9% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Trax’s appeal comes from its practical setup: a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and an EPA-estimated 30 mpg combined. It also includes useful standard equipment such as an eight-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wifi hotspot, and Chevy Safety Assist. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should still verify condition carefully, since a compact, value-focused SUV can vary more by prior use than by spec sheet alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Trax?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the listing’s accident and title history before you buy. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and how well the tech and driver-assistance features work in real-world use.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.61% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,546, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $21,402 sits slightly below last year's $23,417.

That price movement suggests the Trax has become more affordable in the used market, which can help you buy at a lower entry point today. For a future seller, softer pricing can mean you should be realistic about appreciation and focus on buying well rather than expecting a quick gain. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it consistently, you’ll be better positioned when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $20,724, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $21,402 average.
• It offers a fresh redesign with more modern styling and technology.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the Trax’s affordable, practical formula while adding new exterior color choices.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-liked, value-focused Trax with strong market availability and a softer price trend. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the better bargain to compare first.
