How much does the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV cost?

Prices have softened 14.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 606 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

With a user rating of 3.7/5, the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV looks like a strong fit if you want a full-size luxury SUV centered on space, presence, and comfort. Its long-wheelbase design gives you a much larger cabin than the standard Escalade, and the extra length translates into generous room for passengers and cargo. You also get strong power, premium interior materials, and a long list of comfort and technology features that help it feel upscale.

The tradeoffs are familiar for a vehicle this large: poor fuel economy and a price that can be hard to justify if luxury and size are not top priorities. Even so, if you need three-row utility with a distinctly premium feel, it lines up well with that use case.

33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

The 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV is presented as a full-size luxury SUV built around space, presence, and comfort, with a strong V8, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and available rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. It also includes a long list of standard technology and convenience features, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 19-speaker AKG audio system.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, feature-rich luxury SUV can become expensive to keep in top shape if you inherit deferred maintenance or neglected electronics.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for body condition, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past collision work. Because this is a large luxury SUV, you should also focus on how well the cabin, electronics, and comfort features have been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This looks like a selective buyer’s market, where you can find opportunities if you compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 606 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,626, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $24,626 sits slightly below last year's $28,760.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make this a better time to purchase than to sell. If you own one and plan to trade or sell soon, you may want to expect a softer return than you would have seen a year ago. For future sellers, the current pricing trend means condition, mileage, and maintenance history will matter even more when it comes time to set your asking price.

Should I buy a 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.37% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2018 makes sense if you want the Escalade ESV’s big-cabin luxury formula and you can find a well-kept example at a competitive price. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year with a lower asking price may be worth cross-shopping, but the 2018 remains the better path when you want the strongest mix of value and current market softness.
