How much does the 2018 BMW M4 cost?

Prices have softened 1.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 145 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 BMW M4 a good car?

Yes — the 2018 BMW M4 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its impressive handling, power, and advanced technology, and many say it delivers more fun and excitement than other models. That lines up well with its role as a compact performance coupe and convertible that still aims to be usable every day. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 BMW M4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to enthusiasts, with praise for its strong performance and advanced technology. The same feedback suggests it can be a car you count on for an engaging driving experience, especially if it has been maintained carefully. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a performance car like this may have been driven hard, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 BMW M4?

At 53.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate cleaner examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the brakes, suspension, steering, and any signs of aftermarket modifications. Because this is a high-performance model, you should pay close attention to overall condition and maintenance quality rather than just mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 BMW M4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting a flood of bargain listings.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 145 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,855, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 BMW M4's resale value?

The current average of $42,154 sits slightly below last year's $42,665.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy a well-kept example and preserve its condition, because performance cars tend to reward clean history and strong maintenance. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 BMW M4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2018 if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, current pricing, and available inventory in this group. If you are especially price-sensitive, a different year may be worth considering, but the 2018 remains a solid target when you want a well-liked performance coupe or convertible and are willing to shop carefully for condition.
