Is the 2018 Audi S4 a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2018 Audi S4 stands out as a performance sedan that pairs strong acceleration with everyday refinement, and it also rides very smoothly for a performance sedan, which helps if you want speed without giving up comfort. It offers more standard equipment than the regular A4, and its tech-heavy cabin adds to its appeal if you value convenience and upscale features. 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Audi S4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes reliability as decent for these years, but it also notes that Audis typically require more maintenance than rival brands. For a used buyer, that means you should plan for ownership costs beyond the purchase price and pay close attention to service history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Audi S4?

At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report to confirm accident records, title status, and service history. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of past bodywork, uneven panel gaps, or wear that could point to harder use. Focus on overall condition and maintenance documentation, since this model’s ownership costs can be influenced by how well it was cared for.

What is the 2018 Audi S4's resale value?

The current average of $23,419 sits slightly below last year's $24,544.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you plan to sell later, the softer trend means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still attract interest from shoppers looking for a fast, refined sedan at a used-car price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi S4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2018 if you want a refined performance sedan with strong owner satisfaction and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 remains a sensible target when you find a clean, well-documented example at the low end of the range.
