Used 2017 Volvo XC60 for Sale near New York

How much does the 2017 Volvo XC60 cost?

Prices have softened 13.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 589 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Volvo XC60 a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the XC60’s handling, comfort, and luxurious interior, and they also highlight its advanced features, safety attributes, performance, and fuel economy. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a compact luxury crossover that emphasizes safety, comfort, and understated premium character rather than flashy styling. With 37.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Volvo XC60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners describing the XC60 as comfortable, well-built, and satisfying over time. That kind of feedback suggests you’re looking at a used SUV that many drivers feel confident keeping for the long haul. For a used buyer, the main risk is less about broad owner dissatisfaction and more about finding a well-maintained example with a clean history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Volvo XC60?

At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings at similar prices. Put inspection priority on body condition, repair quality, and signs of past collision work, since accident history can affect both reliability and resale. It’s also smart to focus on maintenance records and overall wear so you can separate a clean, well-kept XC60 from one that only looks good on paper.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Volvo XC60?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop around but still room for value if you move carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 589 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,336, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $12,455 sits slightly below last year's $14,475.

That price movement suggests the XC60 has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than before. If you buy now, you’re entering at a lower price point, which can help limit depreciation exposure compared with a purchase made when prices were higher. Strong condition and a clean history will matter even more if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,598, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $12,455 average.
• It brings a fully redesigned platform with a more modern look and optional plug-in hybrid power.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2017 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer design and a more modern driving experience, the 2018 is the better secondary path.
