How much does the 2017 Volvo XC60 cost?

There are 578 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Volvo XC60 a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the XC60’s handling, comfort, luxurious interior, advanced features, and fuel economy. That lines up well if you want a compact luxury SUV that emphasizes safety and refinement, especially for everyday driving and premium-family use. With 35.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a meaningful chance to find a competitive listing.

Is the 2017 Volvo XC60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise for the vehicle’s overall performance, comfort, and trouble-free feel. That kind of long-term confidence matters if you want a used luxury SUV you can count on rather than one that feels fragile or overly complicated.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a well-kept example, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Volvo XC60?

At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch hidden bodywork, suspension, or wear issues. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs that the cabin and safety systems have been cared for properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Volvo XC60?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find value.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $12,343, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $12,394 sits slightly below last year's $14,742.

That price movement suggests the XC60 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you overpay now, though, you may have less room to recover value later. A well-kept example with strong documentation should be easier to move when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,713, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $12,394 average.
• The redesign brings a new platform, updated styling, and an optional plug-in hybrid.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 if you want the better value play and a proven luxury SUV with strong owner satisfaction. Consider the 2018 if you’re willing to pay more for the redesigned model and its newer technology. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2017 is the smarter starting point; if you want the newer-generation experience, move up a year.
