How much does the 2017 Volvo S60 cost?

Is the 2017 Volvo S60 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Volvo S60 earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a sedan that blends Scandinavian style with a strong safety reputation and a distinctive driving character, while also offering a premium feel without losing Volvo’s safety-first identity. It also gives you a clear spread of personalities, from efficient everyday use to serious performance, so you can shop based on how you plan to drive it. 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2017 Volvo S60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview emphasizes Volvo’s safety-first identity, standard City Safety, and best-in-class crash ratings from both the IIHS and NHTSA, all of which support confidence in the car’s overall design and ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core safety story and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and still feels solid inside and out.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Volvo S60?

At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, panel alignment, and signs of past collision work. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on its premium feel, you should also focus on cabin condition, electronics, and how well the car has aged overall.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Volvo S60?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 246 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.12% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,086, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $12,360 sits slightly below last year's $13,307.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you plan to resell later, the key will be how well the car holds up in condition, mileage, and maintenance history, since those factors matter more when a model is already trading below its prior-year level. A clean, well-kept example should be easier to move than one with visible wear or a questionable history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the right pick if you want a premium-feeling Volvo sedan with strong owner satisfaction, a softer price than last year, and enough inventory to shop selectively. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 remains the better all-around choice when you want the balance of value, safety reputation, and distinctive character.
