Used 2017 Toyota Sequoia for Sale near New Mexico

How much does the 2017 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 5.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 300 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2017 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for a full-size SUV. The 2017 Toyota Sequoia stands out as a large, truck-based SUV built for buyers who want traditional body-on-frame toughness and three-row practicality. It shares its platform with the Tundra, and all Sequoias seat up to eight passengers depending on the second-row layout, so it fits well if you need space, towing strength, and a rugged character over crossover-style refinement. 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2017 Toyota Sequoia’s appeal is rooted in its dependable 5.7-liter V8, standard rear-wheel drive, and available part-time four-wheel drive. Toyota Safety Sense is standard, bringing adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane keeping assistance, which adds everyday confidence to its durability-focused design. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a rugged, high-mileage SUV can hide wear from hard use, so condition matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Toyota Sequoia?

At 54% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for body repairs, suspension wear, and signs of heavy use. Focus on overall condition as much as mileage, since a large body-on-frame SUV can vary a lot depending on how it was maintained and driven.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Toyota Sequoia?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 300 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,707, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

The current average of $27,420 sits slightly below last year's $28,910. That tells you the market has eased, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also mean a future sale could face some price pressure if the trend continues. For a seller, that makes condition, documentation, and timing more important because buyers will have alternatives in the market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.15% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a rugged, full-size SUV with three-row practicality and strong owner satisfaction, the 2017 is the right direction to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-mileage or better-priced example offers a better overall value for your budget.
