Used 2017 Nissan Titan for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2017 Nissan Titan cost?

Prices have softened 6.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,112 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Nissan Titan a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Nissan Titan earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

User reviews consistently point to power, spaciousness, value for money, a smooth ride, and useful technology features, while the overview frames it as a full-size pickup that feels like a serious alternative rather than a novelty. That makes it a fit if you want a substantial truck with strong everyday usability and the ability to handle heavy loads without chasing the most mainstream badge.

Only 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than flooded with bargains.

Is the 2017 Nissan Titan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user review summary points to a truck that owners see as dependable and capable of handling heavy loads, with praise for its power and value for money. The expert test drive data also describes it as a trusty workhorse and notes that Nissan backs it with an impressive 5-year/100,000-mile warranty covering the entire truck, including the powertrain.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the truck’s condition, maintenance history, and intended use match your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan Titan?

At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you plan to use the truck for towing or heavy work. Focus on signs of prior body damage, uneven tire wear, suspension wear, and any evidence that the truck has been worked hard rather than lightly used. If a listing looks especially clean, verify that the condition matches the price before you move quickly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Platinum Reserve stands out with polished 20-inch wheels, two-tone paint, and a two-tone brown leather interior with quilted stitching, while the base and mid-grade trucks are described as sufficient rather than luxurious.
• Powertrain: The truck uses a 5.6-liter V8 with 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic; the XD variant is positioned as a tougher alternative, and the content also mentions an optional 5.0-liter Cummins diesel V8 in that lineup.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring is mentioned, but there are no auto-braking or forward-collision alert features.
• Infotainment: You get a 7-inch touchscreen, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered; the truck does include live traffic, voice recognition, Google destination search, app support, NissanConnect telematics, and a 360-degree camera system.
• Fuel efficiency: The truck is rated at 15 mpg city and 21 mpg highway, and the test drive notes an average of 17 mpg over 750 miles.

Which 2017 Nissan Titan trim should I buy?

The 2017 Nissan Titan is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, Pro-4X, and Platinum Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Titan’s core capability at the lowest likely price, but the content suggests the lower trims are more basic and less polished inside.
• SV: This is the trim to target if you want a practical middle ground, since it should give you a better balance of equipment and value than the base truck without pushing you into luxury pricing.
• SL: This is the step-up choice if you want a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top, and it should suit you if comfort and features matter more than bare-bones utility.
• Pro-4X: Choose this if you want the trail-tuned setup mentioned in the performance notes, especially if you expect to deal with snow or rougher conditions.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the most upscale version, with the richest interior treatment and the most premium appearance details, so it’s the best-value trim only if you want luxury-like presentation in a full-size pickup.

Blind-spot monitoring is the only driver-assistance feature specifically called out, so don’t expect a broad safety-tech suite on any trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Titan?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,112 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,315, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Titan's resale value?

The current average of $19,356 sits slightly below last year's $20,763.

That decline suggests the Titan has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer pricing environment than before. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you can help protect value, but the current trend shows that the market is not aggressively bidding prices upward. The good news is that a lower entry price can make ownership easier to justify if you plan to keep the truck for a while.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Nissan Titan safe?

The 2017 Nissan Titan scores a Marginal rating in the IIHS small front overlap crash test and Good ratings in the four other IIHS tests.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The Titan includes blind-spot monitoring, but the safety content says it does not offer auto-braking, forward-collision alerts, or similar driver-assistance features. That leaves you with a truck that has some basic awareness tech, but not the broader active-safety package many rivals offer.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert summary says there’s “a real truck here,” and it’s worth a look.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want a full-size pickup with strong owner satisfaction, a lower average price, and enough inventory to shop carefully. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the softened market makes this a sensible year to target, but you should still prioritize condition and history because a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents.

How does the 2017 Nissan Titan compare to the 2017 Ford F-150?

Our experts score the 2017 Nissan Titan 6.5/10 and the 2017 Ford F-150 7.8/10.

The Titan gives you a lower average used price and a smaller pool of listings, while the F-150 offers more inventory and a stronger expert score. The Titan’s appeal is its strong V8 power, smooth ride, and solid owner satisfaction, but the F-150 compares more favorably on overall market depth and expert evaluation. If you want the cheaper truck with good satisfaction and a distinctive feel, the Titan makes sense; if you want the broader benchmark with more listings and a higher expert score, the F-150 is the safer default.
