How much does the 2017 Nissan Murano cost?

There are 1,279 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and condition.

Is the 2017 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Nissan Murano earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its luxurious feel, numerous features, and stylish design, and many also appreciate the comfort and power, especially in higher trims. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a midsize SUV that leans toward comfort, style, and a more premium-feeling daily drive. With 31.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers’ feedback also points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable and trouble-free enough to recommend, especially when they value comfort and features over rugged utility. Some shoppers do raise concerns about reliability, so your best approach is to focus on maintenance records and overall condition rather than assuming every example will age the same way. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable, but only if you verify how well the specific vehicle has been cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan Murano?

At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with accident records. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive or the vehicle has higher mileage. Focus on overall condition, maintenance history, and signs of prior bodywork so you can avoid paying strong money for a compromised example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,279 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.50% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,750, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $12,750 sits slightly below last year's $14,572.

That price movement suggests the Murano has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is documented. If you keep the SUV clean, well maintained, and accident-free, you give yourself a better chance of standing out when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $11,611, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $12,750 average.
• It emphasizes bold styling and visual character.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around shopping case, the 2017 is the better primary target because it combines a lower current average price, solid deal availability, and strong owner satisfaction. If your main goal is to spend less, the 2016 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
